Health Information & Service Boundaries

Important limits on website and therapy information.

This page explains what information on blessingstherapy.com can help with, what it cannot replace, when individual assessment is needed and why urgent medical concerns require appropriate emergency care.

Effective: 28 July 2026 Applies to: website content, resources, enquiries and general guidance
Individual Assessment Matters

Recommendations depend on history, goals, observation, safety and professional judgement.

Occupational Therapy Scope

OT focuses on participation in meaningful everyday activities and functional goals.

Urgent Care Comes First

Time-sensitive illness, injury or safety concerns need immediate medical attention.

Emergency and Safety Notice

Do not use this website, routine email or WhatsApp for an emergency.

Seek immediate help from an appropriate emergency or medical service for severe or sudden symptoms, serious injury, breathing difficulty, loss of consciousness, suspected stroke, severe allergic reaction, risk of harm or another urgent concern. Do not delay care while waiting for a reply from the centre.

Complete Medical Disclaimer

Understanding the role of website and therapy information.

Read this disclaimer together with the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions and any consent or appointment information provided for your individual service.

01

General information only

Website pages, articles, FAQs, checklists, social posts, videos and downloadable resources are provided for general education and service information. They are not individual medical, developmental, psychological, educational or rehabilitation advice.

The information may not include every risk, alternative, contraindication or recent change relevant to a particular person. Do not use it as the sole basis for a healthcare decision.

02

No therapist–client relationship from browsing or enquiring

Viewing the website, downloading a resource, sending a form, email or WhatsApp message does not by itself create a therapist–client relationship or guarantee that Blessings Therapy Centre can provide the requested service.

A professional relationship begins only after the centre accepts the appointment and the necessary consent, assessment, service and administrative arrangements are completed.

03

Occupational Therapy scope

Occupational Therapy supports participation in meaningful everyday activities. Depending on the person and service, this may include self-care, play, learning, school, work, home routines, functional movement, sensory participation, rehabilitation or community activities.

OT does not replace emergency medicine, paediatrics, neurology, psychiatry, psychology, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy or another profession when that professional’s assessment or treatment is required.

04

Assessment, diagnosis and personalised recommendations

A symptom list, milestone article, online quiz or caregiver observation cannot confirm a diagnosis. Diagnosis and treatment decisions depend on the relevant professional’s scope, assessment, history, examination and applicable standards.

Occupational Therapy recommendations are made only after the therapist has enough information to understand the functional concern, goals, risks, environment and need for referral.

05

Children and developmental information

Children develop at different rates, but persistent loss of skills, significant functional difficulty or a caregiver’s concern should be discussed with an appropriate qualified professional. Website information cannot determine whether a child has a developmental condition.

Parents and guardians should not delay medical, developmental or educational assessment because a website article appears reassuring or because a strategy seems to help temporarily.

06

Exercises, sensory ideas and home strategies

General activities may not be safe, appropriate or effective for every person. Age, diagnosis, pain, fatigue, balance, seizures, swallowing, sensory responses, medical restrictions, cognition and the environment can change risk.

Stop an activity and seek suitable professional advice when it causes pain, breathing difficulty, dizziness, marked distress, injury, unusual fatigue, loss of function or another concerning reaction. Use individual therapy material only for the person for whom it was provided.

07

Online consultation and tele-therapy limitations

Online services can support discussion, observation, coaching and selected therapy goals, but they may not allow the same physical examination, environmental control, equipment use or hands-on assessment as an in-clinic appointment.

The therapist may recommend an in-person assessment, medical review or local professional when online care is unsuitable, technology is inadequate or safety cannot be reasonably managed.

08

Medication, medical treatment and healthcare decisions

Do not start, stop or change medication, medical treatment, dietary restriction, assistive equipment or another healthcare plan solely because of website content.

Questions about medication, diagnosis, acute symptoms or medical restrictions should be directed to the appropriately qualified prescribing or treating professional.

09

No guaranteed result or timeline

Therapy results vary. Progress may depend on health, diagnosis, age, goals, environment, attendance, participation, caregiver support, opportunities for practice and other factors.

Testimonials, examples and educational case descriptions do not promise the same outcome for another person. The centre does not guarantee a cure, milestone, school outcome, work outcome, full recovery or fixed therapy duration.

10

External websites and third-party content

Links to professional organisations, maps, social media, videos, communication tools or other resources are provided for convenience. Blessings Therapy Centre does not control every external page, update, advertisement, recommendation or privacy practice.

A link does not mean that the centre endorses every statement, product or service on the external site.

11

Website forms, email and WhatsApp

Routine electronic channels may be delayed, interrupted, misdirected or accessed by another person using your device or account. They are not suitable for emergencies or continuous monitoring.

Send only the information reasonably needed for the enquiry and wait for the centre to confirm an appropriate method before sending detailed medical records, photographs, videos or identity documents.

12

When individual professional help is needed

Arrange an appropriate consultation when a concern is persistent, worsening, affects daily participation or depends on individual medical, developmental, sensory, motor, cognitive or safety factors.
